Instructions
Prepare the hot dog buns – Bake a batch of Hot Dog Buns with Fresh Milled Flour and allow them to cool completely before assembling the board.
Spiral-cut the hot dogs – Using a sharp knife, carefully cut each hot dog in a spiral pattern from one end to the other. This creates extra surface area for browning and gives the finished hot dogs their signature appearance.
Cook the hot dogs – Place the spiral-cut hot dogs into your air fryer and cook using your air fryer's recommended settings until heated through and lightly browned.
Prepare the cheese stars – Using a small star-shaped cookie cutter, cut stars from sliced mozzarella cheese.
Build the blue section – Arrange the blue corn tortilla chips in the upper left corner of a 15 x 21-inch baking sheet. Place the mozzarella stars on top of the chips to create the stars of the American flag.
Fill the buns – Place one cooked hot dog into each homemade bun.
Add the ketchup – Pipe or drizzle a zigzag of ketchup across each hot dog to create the red stripes of the flag.
Arrange the flag – Beginning beside the blue section, alternate rows of hot dogs with rows of plain Ruffle potato chips until the entire baking sheet resembles an American flag.
Serve – Transfer the completed board to your serving table and offer bowls of your favorite hot dog toppings alongside it so guests can customize their meal.
