Start by preparing your ice cream machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. If you’re using a Cuisinart ice cream machine, make sure to place the bowl in the freezer for 24 hours beforehand.
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and granulated sugar using a hand mixer. Blend until smooth and creamy. Gradually add in the heavy cream and whole milk, mixing on medium-high heat until everything is well combined.
Add in the vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and 4 tablespoons of blueberry jam. Whisk the mixture until it’s fully blended, creating a rich and smooth ice cream liquid base.
Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for 1-2 hours, or even overnight, to let it chill and develop a better texture.
Once the mixture is thoroughly chilled, pour it into your ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for churning the ice cream, usually taking about 20 to 30 minutes.
About 5 minutes before the churning is finished, add the remaining blueberry jam to create beautiful blueberry swirls throughout the creamy ice cream.
Transfer the churned ice cream into a freezer-safe loaf pan lined with plastic wrap. Use a rubber spatula to smooth the top of the ice cream, then cover and freeze it for 1-2 hours or overnight in a freezer container.
When you’re ready to enjoy your treat, remove the pan from the freezer, scoop out the delicious blueberry cheesecake ice cream, and serve it in shallow bowls. This is sure to be a huge hit with everyone!
